Pricing is based on years of experience processing over 3.4 million government generated alerts and redistributing those to people and businesses within various markets. This experience allowed us to generate initial pricing models based on what we know of the various markets and traffic within those markets.

The DHS recommendation for "clarity of alerts" says that alerts should contain the following information:
- What is happening: this is label right on our button and transmitted as part of the alert
- Where it's happening: this is automatically collected during the reporting process and transmitted as part of the alert
- What to do next: this is included as part of every alert
Only security personnel who have been given proper access can see who sent an alert and with the touch of a button they can call you directly. This is because additional staff or live saving resources may be needed.
There is no need to delete your account. After 15 days the account will automatically go to inactive. Since you can only have one free trial account should you need to reactivate your account you will need to contact our sales department.
There are two reasons for not receiving alerts:
- TapToReport requires permission to receive "notifications" on your phone. These notifications will tell you when you have an alert. When you installed TapToReport (Android) you granted these permissions or, the first time you opened TapToReport (iOS) you we\'re asked to grant permission. If you turned denied permission or turned off permissions in your devices Settings you will need to renable these permissions.
- TapToReport will automatically retrieve new alerts when you access the Alerts screen. You can access the alerts screen by swiping left or from the Menu by choosing Alerts from the TapToReport menu.
Channels are a patent pending technology that we use to segregate alerts and channel them to the appropriate people. This avoids user fatigue from receiving unnecessary alerts.
Alerts are broken down into two categories:
Crime which consists of the following alerts:
- Shooter: This is to report an active shooter
- Assault: This is to report a physical attack on a person or persons
- Robbery: This is to report a forced robbery (usually armed)
- Theft: This is to report a theft such as shoplifting, snatch and grab or purse snatching
Safety which consists of the following alerts:
- Medical: This is to report a medical condition such as a heart attack or injury requiring medical care
- Slip & Fall: This is to report a slip and fall condition such as a spill on a tile floor
- Hazard: This is to report a hazard such as broken glass, an unattended ladder or something broken and dangerous
- Fire/Smoke: This is to report fire or smoke
For more information about these alerts please see the Alert Types page under the help tab.
